Our Difference

Columbia Lake Health Club was created in order to meet the needs identified by some of the top employers in Waterloo. RIM, Open Text, Sybase, Miller Thomson, University of Waterloo and Communitech all contributed their ideas to the planning of Columbia Lake Health Club and the TechTown facility. They wanted a facility that was modern and spacious, provided a comfortable environment for their employees to de-stress, and included a variety of fitness services all located in one facility.

Columbia Lake Health Club is part of TechTown, which provides one-stop convenience for a variety of other services. Health Club members can visit TechTown Café to get their morning coffee or a protein shake before a vigorous workout. They can sit and enjoy the outside patio or indoor atrium with friends over lunch. TechTown offers ATM services through the Education Credit Union. TechTown Dentistry brings smiles to its clients’ faces with their outstanding service and comfortable environment.

Columbia Lake Health Club is locally owned and operated. It is not a franchise, and we are not managed by a large corporation, or one located far away from its local customers. We listen to our members and we can change with the changing needs of our clients.
