Pilates and Yoga

Columbia Lake Health Club offers a variety of Pilates and Yoga classes in 8 week sessions that easily fit into your busy life. Non-members are welcome to join our Pilates and Yoga Program, so invite your friends!

Pilates I

Pilates I expands on techniques gained in Intro to Pilates with greater focus on improving the flow of basic exercise. You will work on moving from one pose into the next with stability and ease. In this series new exercises are introduces to boost core strength and stability. Previous Pilates experience is not required.

Pilates II

Or more challenge, Pilates II is and intermediate level which will take you through a dynamic, full-body workout. Exercises in this series help to stretch and tone all muscles groups. Pilates II is a class that will streamline your body without adding bulk. Pervious Pilates experience is required.

Pilates + Stretch

The Pilates system focuses on increasing flexibility and strength, without building bulk. It is a series of controlled movements involving breathing, centering of one’s body, control, and concentration. Pilates conditioning promotes balance and a lengthening of muscle for people of all ages and physical conditions. This session focus one hour on the Pilates System followed by 30 minutes focused on Stretching and relaxation. It is the best of both worlds!


Yoga Fever

Hot Yoga is a highly effective therapeutic method of yoga practiced in a room heated between 35 to 45 degrees Celsius. This environment helps prevent injury, improves circulation and promotes detoxification. The program is designed to stretch and strengthen every muscle, ligament, tendon and joint in your body. It works the cardiovascular and circulatory systems, massages your internal organs and stimulates the nervous system while exploring yoga philosophy along the way. Hot yoga brings the body into balance, regulates appetite, and sleep and mood disturbances. It promotes relaxation and improves energy. In addition, you will benefit from increased focus, concentration, strength, and flexibility. Hot Yoga revitalizes and heals the mind, the body and the spirit.
