Group Cycle and Wave Class

Columbia Lake Health Club offers a variety of group cycle and wave programs. We change our programs and scheduling regularly to meet the needs of our members. Class schedules are available here. Our group cycle and wave programs include:

Cycle Basics—Beginner
An introductory opportunity for brand new participants to fitness cycling. This entry level session will walk you through the fundamentals of group cycle. This intro format will cover setting up your bike for the workout, safety, and basic training methods in a 45 minute class.

Revolution 1—Beginner
A cycling experience designed for the beginner looking to enhance his/her working knowledge of indoor cycling and increase physical stamina. An excellent stepping stone to other Revolution workouts, this entry level session will have limited standing positions, with adequate recovery periods. Cardio segment is approximately 20 minutes.

Revolution 2— Intermediate
An intermediate cycling workout designed to promote increased intensity and conditioning opportunities. Greater emphasis on Speed, Strength, Endurance, and Balance will be the focus. Instructors will allow more attention to be dedicated to performance visualization and assist the cyclist with achieving a more complete cycling experience. Cardio segment is approximately 30 minutes.

Revolution 3—Advanced
Emphasizing power and explosive techniques, this 45 minute cardio segment is for the experienced rider. This workout will be looking to increase work loads for longer periods of time, with less rest. The established cyclist will find this guided challenge helpful in developing more strength and speed.

Enduro Ride—Advanced
Only for the strong of quad and glute!! This total cycling experience is initiated by only a select group of instructors, looking to persuade and push your pulse into a zone reserved for the road warrior. Arrive on time—this crew maximizes every minute and the ride is 90 minutes long!

Wave 1 – (Formerly Wave Basics—Beginner)
Ever wonder what this equipment can do for you? Come out and join this easy to follow class that will prove to be very effective both aerobically and muscularly in just 20 minutes. The best part is – no co-ordination requires and there is no impact on joints.

Wave 2 – (Formerly The Wave – Intermediate to Advanced)
Take what you have learned in basics and step it up a notch. Burn calories 3x faster in this high energy, non impact workout, designed to work your entire body in only 30 minutes.

Limber Limbs- IMPROVED! **This class is taught by a Personal Trainer**
We have added a new component to this class – join us in an introduction to the foam roller and how it can aid you in recovery and also improve your flexibility. Our Trainers will teach you how to get the most out of the stretch and release process – It is a fun interactive class aimed at providing techniques to help improve athletic performance and relieve tension and stress.
These Classes are multilevel and will be held in the Yoga and Pilates Studio.
