Aerobics

Columbia Lake Health Club offers a variety of fitness classes. We change our programs and scheduling regularly to meet the needs of our members. Online registration lets you sign up for a class to ensure your spot. Half of all spots can be booked days in advance - half are available on a drop in basis.

Our instructors are great at teaching these classes for all our members, from novice to expert. You’ll get the right instruction for the level of activity that is right for you.

Novice Classes

Step 1 - Multi-level Intensity – Basic Comprehension This athletic effort kicks the choreography to the curb and takes it back to the basics. Step 1 incorporates simple steps and patterns, designed for quick comprehension. User friendly, designed for individual speed, agility and stamina

 

Multi-Level Classes

For those with lots of fitness class experience and need the extra challenge.

Boxing - Multi-level This class teaches the foundations of Boxing. Skip, jab, and upper cut your way to a leaner, stronger you!

Cardio Sculpt - Intermediate **NEW This class is the best of both worlds! Combine hi/low aerobics with intervals of strength to boost your cardio and sculpt and tone.

Boot Camp - Multi-level Kick start your metabolism and burn loads of fat! This multi-level class is for the participant who wants to challenge themselves at their own level! Your instructor will take you through a full body circuit, while alternating 2 minutes of cardio and 2 minutes of strength training.

Core Conditioning - Mutli-level Discover how core strength can enhance your lifestyle. By developing the muscles around your hips, lower back, torso, abs, and shoulder blades we can help reduce lower back pain, improve posture, and develop a leaner physique.

Just Legs - Multi-level Target your lower half to trim and sculpt everything from your quads to your hamstrings and your glutes to your toes. We will help you shape and tone your legs through a variety of glute busting moves!

Strength
– Mutli-level Improve your posture. Boost your metabolism. Tighten and tone. Burn more fat. Flatten your mid-section. And most of all, greatly improve your STRENGTH. This total body workout has co-ed appeal. We use body bars, dumbbells, stability balls, bosu and what ever else we can get our hands on!

Sweat - Intermediate We combine low and high impact aerobics to raise your temperature and make you SWEAT. Fun and high energy, with exciting choreography.

Zumba - Multi-level This is the class that will have you shaking and grooving to Latin beats. So fun, you won’t realize your working out until you notice how hard you’re sweating! Come join the party! What is Zumba? Click here to find out!

Extreme Classes

Step 2 - Intermediate to Advanced All step classes are not created equal! Join the resident step master in this blend of classic steps mixed with current step trends. Targeted at the member who desires non-stop cardio and creative choreography.
