| Fitness Assessments
What is a fitness assessment? A fitness assessment is our process of standardized tests that will allow us to assess your current state of physical condition (your fitness level).
Why do I need or want one? It will give you a benchmark for your current level of fitness and allow us to help build a fitness program for you that allow’s you to take appropriate steps in building a stronger body and healthier lifestyle. If you don’t count it, it doesn’t count. So we encourage our members to monitor their levels of activity and the impact on their lives so that they can work to develop, maintain or protect their active lifestyles.
What happens in a fitness assessment? We conduct a few tests that test your strength, flexibility, oxygen intake, physical measurements, blood pressure and heart rate to set the baseline. We discuss with you any health concerns or issues you have. We try to understand your current lifestyle choices to determine what type of fitness program would fit best into your life right now. The test includes 10-15 minutes on a treadmill. We use this data to establish your PeT program and discuss fitness and lifestyle goals.
When can I get a fitness assessment? We encourage members to start with a fitness assessment in order to establish their baseline. Then after regular activity we will update your assessment (free every 3 months) to help you adjust your fitness program and keep you on track.
Who do I talk to? We have a whole team of people who are available when you are. Contact info@clhc.com to make an appointment.
