Do you want to do more than run on a treadmill?
Columbia Lake Health Club is here to help you fast track your fitness. We bring you 4 different programs that will get you on the road to a healthier lifestyle. All of these are based on using a PeT – a Personal e-Trainer, which is a usb key programmed according to your fitness level. When inserted into your choice of cardio or strength equipment, your PeT prompts your workout so that you don’t need to think about what you did last time or carry around a piece of paper.

Challenge - your ability to perform by meeting with a trainer for 30 minutes every week to monitor your progress, add challenge to your workout, guide you in better nutrition and make your workout very satisfying.

Excel – One on one personal training that is custom designed to help you achieve your goals. Personal training brings you the ability to achieve exceptional results in a short period of time. Choose from a variety of Personal Trainers, each of whom bring enthusiasm to your workout, knowledge about physiology and passion for exercise and sport.

Our vision is simple: Make it enjoyable for our members to achieve their health and fitness goals.

We do this by providing equipment that includes:

  • More treadmills than any other facility in Waterloo
  • “Wave” machines that provide a cardio workout perfect for sports conditioning or knees that are challenged
  • Personal e-Trainer (PeT) on cardio and strength equipment to guide your fitness program
  • Cardio equipment with integrated computers for your choice of 24 satellite stations
  • “Wave” cardio machine that is easy on the knees and perfect for sports conditioning
  • 24 cycling bikes with fully integrated computers in custom built studio

We do this by providing entertainment like:

  • 24 satellite stations fed directly to your choice of cardio equipment
  • Cardio classes beyond the standard step, pump and flow

We do this by providing variety that includes:

  • Boxing and wave classes as part of our standard aerobics program
  • Pilates and Yoga by certified instructors
  • Sports Conditioning for dryland training geared to hockey, ski/snowboard enthusiasts and golfers

We do this by providing comforts like:

  • Climate controlled studios so that the cycling studio is cool and the pilates studio is warm
  • Spacious golf club like locker rooms that have lots of benches and privacy
  • Infrared saunas which provides a much healthier experience than the old traditional system
